A Message
from Membership Chair Sally A. Bixler
Thank you for the positive impact that your
membership has made on our community this past
year. Together, we gave back over $15,000
to 8 local non-profits to sustain their programs
that inspire children, feed our underserved
neighbors and educate young women on the
environment that surrounds us. All while
preserving our historic clubhouse and providing
an up-to-date venue for our monthly membership
meetings, local theatre, community gatherings
and private events. Your membership dues and
donations made the following possible:
* Helped Cabrillo Elementary students build
confidence through the Everyone a Reader
program.
* Opened new doors for children through the
ACCESS program at Arts District Liberty Station
by exposing them to art, cooking and dance.
* Funded these 8 non-profits: Peninsula Senior
Resource Center, Loaves and Fishes, Point Loma
Summer Concerts, the EcoLogik Institute,
Classics4Kids, Ryan YMCA, Point Loma High School
Music Boosters and Visions Museum of Textile
Arts.
* Maintain our 111 year old historic building
for community events and private rental use at
reasonable rates that helps fund our local
grants.
Your membership includes the following:
* Mostly monthly meetings for members and guests
with social time to visit with friends and
neighbors and see an educational program.
* A monthly member Newsletter that informs you
of upcoming events in our community and at the
Point Loma Assembly.
How to join? It is easy-Membership is $100
annually for individuals and $150 for a
household. Business Sponsors are $250 annually
and we will promote your business at meetings,
on our website, in our newsletter and at our
December Holiday Open House for our community.
